Scryfall API & Image Use Compliance

This independent collection tool is designed to follow the Scryfall API documentation, including its rate limits and card imagery guidance.

Documented safeguards active
  • Secure, identified requestsAPI traffic uses https://api.scryfall.com, preserves the browser’s User-Agent as required for on-page JavaScript, and sends an explicit JSON-compatible Accept header.
  • Rate-limit protection/cards/search pagination is sequential and spaced at least 550 ms apart. HTTP 429 responses trigger a minimum 30-second request lockout and are never ignored or rapidly retried.
  • 24-hour local cacheDownloaded card metadata is cached in this browser for at least 24 hours. The app makes one paginated set search—not individual API requests for every card—and uses cached data during temporary failures.
  • Unaltered full-card imageryThe app uses Scryfall’s full normal/large card images without cropping, zooming, filters, distortion, overlays, or watermarks. Card artist and source details remain available in the preview.
  • Free and anonymous accessScryfall data is not paywalled and requires no account, survey, subscription, follow, or payment. The app adds collection tracking, quantities, filtering, valuation, and export tools rather than merely republishing data.
  • No endorsement impliedNo Scryfall logo is used. This personal tracker is not produced, sponsored, approved, or endorsed by Scryfall, Wizards of the Coast, or their affiliates.
  • Magic-only source contextScryfall data and imagery are presented only as Magic: The Gathering card information. They are not represented as cards or assets from another game.
  • Price limitations disclosedDisplayed prices are Scryfall-provided daily estimates or market values. They may be unavailable or outdated and are not guaranteed offers, appraisals, or sale values.

Card data and images remain the property of their respective rights holders. Portions of Scryfall are unofficial Fan Content permitted under the Wizards of the Coast Fan Content Policy. If Scryfall’s published requirements change, this integration should be reviewed and updated accordingly.
